MCF Advisors Expands Presence in Northern Kentucky with Acquisition of Hoff Bujnoch & Associates

MCF Advisors, LLC (“MCF”), a Kentucky-based registered investment adviser (“RIA”) serving families, business owners, and retirement plan sponsors, announced today that it has acquired Hoff Bujnoch & Associates (“HBA”), a Newport, Kentucky-based wealth management firm overseeing approximately $250 million in assets under management (“AUM”). The acquisition expands MCF’s presence in the Northern Kentucky market and adds to the firm’s financial planning and wealth management capabilities.

Led by Digger Bujnoch, CFP®, HBA operates through a planning-led and relationship-focused service model. By joining MCF, HBA will gain access to an expanded platform spanning investment oversight, tax and estate planning resources, retirement planning support and business-owner planning solutions. Digger joins MCF as Senior Financial Advisor and Partner and will be joined by his entire team at MCF. Together, they will continue serving clients and strengthening the multi-generational client relationships they have built over many years.

“MCF is pleased to welcome Digger and the HBA team to the firm,” said Dave Harris, CEO and Managing Partner at MCF. “Their strong commitment to clients, enduring client relationships and collaborative approach to financial planning align closely with MCF’s values. Bringing on their team deepens MCF’s presence in Northern Kentucky while supporting the firm’s disciplined and intentional growth strategy.”

“Getting to know the MCF leadership team and the strength of MCF’s business model made the decision to join the firm an easy one,” said Digger, Owner and Financial Advisor at HBA. “MCF’s outstanding platform and comprehensive resources will empower us to deliver even greater value to the families we serve.”

The transaction closed on April 29, 2026, marking MCF’s third acquisition since partnering with Wealth Partners Capital Group (“WPCG”) and the Aspire Holdings platform of HGGC in March 2025. It further reflects the firm’s focus on intentional growth that prioritizes culture, continuity and long-term advisor partnership.

“HBA is an excellent addition to MCF,” said Nick Trepp, Partner and Head of Corporate Development at WPCG. “Digger and his team embody the kind of client-first culture and long-term thinking that makes for an exceptional fit with MCF. WPCG is excited to see MCF continue to grow with the inclusion of such a talented team.”
